How did we get here?

Veith Jr. (2002) does an outstanding job briefly presenting how the world has drained “any trace of God—even any trace of meaning—from the objective world. Veith (2002) also reminds us of the fact that those orchestrating this did not have such a hard time. For as Veith (2002) states, “remarkably, Christians went along with this worldview” (Veith, 2002, p. 27).

I certainly agree with Veith’s assertion. We so-called Christians do little to push back against the tide of secularism and a post-Christian world. America today believes it’s okay for a man to marry a man or for a woman to marry a woman. Much of the world today also believes that humans are now capable of deciding who or what they are. In general, prayer is not allowed in public schools. Yet it was the Puritans who established schools in the new world in order to teach their children to read the Bible. In fact, Harvard and Yale, both with many others, were established by those of faith.

And today, all of them have turned their backs on their founding fathers. And while all this goes on, a few Christians complain. We, so-called Christians, allowed these things to happen while we sat in the comforts of our Lazy-Boy chairs and cursed at the television set.
